dc.description.abstractThis project was designed to develop a small group structure that cultivates discipleship and missional living at Cherokee Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee. Chapter 1 explains the purpose, goals, context, and rationale for the project. Chapter 2 explores the biblical and theological basis for discipleship and missional living within a small group context. An exegesis of Colossians 1:21-23, 2:6-7, Hebrews 10:24-25, Matthew 28:19-20, and other supporting texts support the purpose of this project. Chapter 3 explains the theoretical and practical support for cultivating discipleship and missional living in small groups. Chapter 4 describes the project including the initial assessment, curriculum development, implementation of curriculum, post-assessment, results, and long-term strategic planning. Chapter 5 evaluates the projects success and details areas for improvement.en_US
