dc.description.abstractThis project sought to equip and engage the members of the First Baptist Church, Folkston, Georgia, in biblically modeled evangelistic praying. Chapter 1 explains the goals, ministry context, rationale, definitions, limitations, and research methodology of the project. Chapter 2 examines the biblical and theological model of evangelistic praying. Specifically, the chapter examines the types of evangelistic intercession taught and utilized in the New Testament. Chapter 3 explores the condition of human lostness. In addition to discussing the effects of lostness, the chapter details God's power to overcome lostness and seeks to understand prayer's role in unleashing God's power to save. Chapter 4 describes the implementation of the project in the setting of the local church. Chapter 5 evaluates the effectiveness of the project. The chapter identifies project strengths and weaknesses. It also contains the personal and theological reflections of the author.en_US
