dc.description.abstractThis dissertation examines the impact of the Church Planting Process and other selected factors on the attendance of Southern Baptist church plants. Chapter 1 introduces the Church Planting Process and its place in Southern Baptist church planting methodology. Chapter 2 describes the development of the Church Planting Process. Specifically, this chapter analyses the development of the process from first draft through the current system. Chapter 3 begins the analysis of the qualitative exploratory survey. It focuses on the elements of the Church Planting Process and their impact on attendance over a four year period. Chapter 4 analyses the results of the qualitative exploratory survey on other selected factors. Chapter 5 provides suggestions to improve the performance of new Southern Baptist churches.en_US
